In June, our Sales Director, South Africa General Manager and Purchasing Team Leader travelled to Ghana to exhibit at WAMPEX and visit a number of our clients across the country.
Storm West Africa exhibited at WAMPEX. Storm West Africa is Storm Procurement's dedicated in-country operation based in Ghana. We established Storm West Africa to provide products and services locally, giving clients across Sub-Saharan Africa faster access to the products they need, local support, and the confidence of working with a business on the ground. Backed by Storm Procurement's global supply network, we help customers meet both standard procurement and local content requirements without compromising on quality.
WAMPEX was one of our strongest exhibitions to date. Sharing the stand with Flexco, Klinger and Fluke meant visitors could speak directly with product experts while learning how Storm West Africa brings these solutions together through one trusted procurement partner.
The joint approach worked well. Instead of being passed between different suppliers, visitors could discuss multiple product categories in one place and leave with clear, practical answers. It made conversations easier and showed the value of having a single procurement partner backed by leading OEMs.
Fluke attracted the highest level of interest, with several visitors asking to purchase products during the exhibition. It highlighted the strength of the brand in the region and the opportunity to continue growing its presence across West Africa.
Flexco and Klinger also generated strong interest, particularly from maintenance and reliability teams looking for conveyor solutions, sealing systems and plant reliability improvements. Bringing these brands together alongside Storm West Africa demonstrated the breadth of support we can provide, being distributors in the region of West Africa.
Throughout the exhibition, we met with technical specialists, procurement professionals and operations teams from both the mining and energy sectors. Alongside a strong pipeline of new enquiries, we also connected with a consultant who has established relationships across Ghana's major energy companies, creating new opportunities beyond mining.
The exhibition strengthened Storm West Africa's presence in the region and reinforced the value of combining local support with global procurement expertise. Visitors responded positively to our local content offering, OEM partnerships and straightforward approach to procurement.
Alongside WAMPEX, the team also visited several long-standing customers across Ghana. These meetings provided the opportunity to introduce Storm West Africa as a local procurement partner, discuss upcoming projects and strengthen existing relationships. The feedback was extremely positive and confirmed strong support for Storm West Africa as we continue to expand our presence in the region.
