'The Storm Operations support team had a team building day on the 29th of May, at Almadria Highlands Resort, in Talisay City, Philippines, where they had the opportunity to spend time together with each other and their families. The focus of the day was to strengthen their team work skills, engage and interact with each other, to increase productivity and efficiency in the workplace.'

'During the day, they played various games and also had fun going swimming after the prepared activities. The team and their families had the opportunity to play games and even win some cash prizes. Here are some of the games they played:

Bad Dog - A card is distributed to the players in the game, where they have to carefully clamp the number of bones they have on their card from the dog’s bowl. If they accidentally press the pedal in the bowl, the dog will wake up, and you''ll be eliminated from game. The game continues until only one person remains as the winner!

Egg Toss - The pair begins by standing an equal distance apart. If the teammate catches the egg successfully, they both take a step back and the game continues until the egg is broken and one pair is left standing. (This was quite messy and several eggs were hurt in this game.😂)'

'Air Scoop - Scoop up as many pieces of snacks, candies and paper bills into another container within 15 seconds. Everyone lines up according to the number they got after drawing lots.

Scavenger Hunt - The team was told to find specific items within 5 minutes. Each item found could be exchanged for cash. (This was not in the video as everyone joined and no one was able to document the game.)

Bottle Stand - Flip the bottle and ensure it stands upright, to win a  prize. Everyone would turn it in turns to flip the bottle once, if they were unsuccessful they could re-join the queue and continue playing until all the prizes are won.'

'To wind down from the games, we sat around the a table discussion which was fundamental to this team building exercise. It was where everyone took turns to share their learnings and provided a background of what their roles are and what the usual challenges are and how to navigate and work around them.'

Check out the video Laarnie sent over to see how their day went!

'Everyone from the team expressed how wonderful and fun the experience was. It was truly a day to remember, and we can’t wait for the next team building exercise.'

We're so glad you all had such a special day making memories together!
